Winter is Coming to an End

We've almost made it through the cold weather. Its been kind of a rollercoaster ride being a mom with no car, and watching another baby in my home along with my son, as well as not being able to go outside cause its cold, but we've done okay. The spring sure does brighten my spirits though. I just love the warmth of the sun and the glow of all things new. Its like opening a Christmas present outside everyday. I can tell Weston loves being outside as well. He surely has blossumed over the past 2 months: crawling, eating big boy food with mom and dad, sitting up in his crib talking til I come get him, drinking out of a sippy cup and he has 8 teeth with 2 on the way. He's definitely Mr. Vocal. If he's not happy or something bothers him, he lets you know it. That could be the worst of the Sensings and the Pharrs. Makes me a little nervous when it comes to raising a strongwilled child but hopefully I can focus his strength and energy on positive things. Thank goodness God has filled my and Phillip's lives with support and wonderful examples. Without our families, church and blood, this journey sure would be much harder. But a wonderful journey it is and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

9 Months! And My Little Heaven on Earth

9 months

21 pounds

28 1/2 inches long

Healthy as an ox and cute as a button. I love this kid more than I can explain. I know everyone says that about their own children but it truly is amazing to be a parent. I feel so honored God has given me the gift of being Weston's mommy. I hope I make Him proud and He chooses to bless me with more just like him. Weston needs to have a little brother or sister anyways. As the eldest, I know he'll be a great sibling to look up to. I can see his kindness, leadership and nurturing qualities already. Each day he shares with me a little piece of his precious spirit and I just love taking it all in. Thats what I see heaven to be like. Each day grows more glorious in love and truth for all eternity. I look forward to that, but for now, Weston we'll do.

Merry Christmas 2010!

What a special Christmas morning. The first Christmas with a baby of our own. And the snow was just the cherry on top. We walked over to the Layton's for our 3rd annual Christmas breakfast. Brian sure knows how to make great pancakes. After visiting with his cousins, Weston enjoyed spending the rest of the day with mommy and daddy and all his new toys!

Navy Eyes, Lil Noah, New PJs and Family pics

So we had a trial run with little Noah last friday. It went great. I think him and Weston are going to be good buddies. They were sure good for me. Hopefully I'll get lucky and it will be smooth every time. What a pair, huh? I bought these Christmas pajamas at the Hatley store in Destin and I absolutely love them on Weston. You can't beat organic cotton pajamas with a night cap. I accidently took this close up of Weston but it really shows the color of his eyes. They really are that blue. No retouching. And these two family pics are my favorite out of our entire session. Weston's face is priceless. Look at my two boys. I'm a lucky woman.

Thanksgiving 2010

I love coming together with family for the holidays. Its amazing how even people from the same bloodline can be so different and special. I enjoy the uniqueness of every one of my relatives. We are so blessed and I take joy in knowing that even in our trials, we have the support of one another. Thank you God for being in our lives. The overflowing love of this family would not exist without you. The food was delicious, the laughs were great and the company was perfect. Happy Thanksgiving!

Sweet Face

I guess its true how all parents think their own children are so cute. I can't help but look at Weston and smile at his precious face. How in the world did me and Phillip create something so beautiful? Definitely a miracle. lol.

1st Halloween!

Weston sure had a first fun Halloween. We went tricking treating with all the cousins. I took a lot of great pics but I lost them all while transfering them to the computer. So sad. Still have these great shots of him in his cute skeleton costume though. Its a 12 month and his legs are already too long. He wears double his age. Crazy. We also tried out a teething biscuit for the first time. Weston loved it!

Weston's 6 Month Photos

At his check up he weighed 18 lbs 14 oz and measured 28 inches long. He's healthy all around but kind of lagging on his upper body strength and neck control. I know he'll get there though. Slow and on his own time, just like his daddy. Some of these photos crack me up. He was such a trooper with so many wardrobe changes, but by the time we got to his Halloween costume, he'd had it.

Destin in October-Our First Family Vacation

Well, another Destin in October has come and gone. The weather and the company was absolutely perfect. Smaller group than usual but a wonderful group none the less...just Phillip, Weston, Maymie, Pappy and me. We stopped at Durbin Farms and got our favorite, a ham and cheese melt and a chocolate milkshake for the road. Weston was such a good boy on the way down. We made it in 7 hours and 10 minutes. Not too shabby. First night we went to Lucky Snapper for a beautiful sunset dinner and yummy cheese biscuits. The next morning we walked to the Bad 'Apple' Cafe for coffee, and went to the beach for fun, sun and water. After lunch back at the house, the boys went golfing and the girls went shopping. We met for dinner on the pier in Baytowne Wharf at Poppy's for some great seafood. Friday we woke up and went to the "Donut Hole" for breakfast. Both couples shared the "Diet Plate" but if you are on that kind of a diet, you're only going to end with a heart attack!!! We then took Weston to the pool for some more fun, sun and water. At first the water was a little cool for Weston, but he got used to it and did not want to leave. After lunch back at the house, Lacy and Phillip played a few games of "Botchee Ball." Then, the boys went golfing and girls went shopping again. The last night we ate at Cantina Laredo's in the Grand Blvd. Amazing mexican food and a chocolate cake dessert that knocks your socks off. We were all exhausted by the end of it. We are so glad Maymie and Pappy allowed us to come along and spend the rest of the week with them. We loved spending time with them and love them so much. What a great first vacation!
