September Outings- Love this weather!

70s, sunny and feelin good. We went to a bunch of parks, the zoo and visited our good friends Dean and Hudson. Weston turned 17 months this month and mommy is loving every minute of his sweet and curious personality. He's got a lot of words, a strong left throw (watch out), and a kiss to die for.

Horse Day!

Weston experienced his first time on a horse. Seemed pretty confident and comfortable. I hope he likes animals as much as me and someday will ride some horses of his own.

And Weston, because he's finally walking, was able to get his one year old shots. Thanks, Tiera for doing such a fabulous job! I know he was hard to keep up with. lol.

My Little Walker

He's finally up and running. Phillip and I are loving it. He is such a lovable and fun kid. Each day is a new discovery. His personality couldn't be more of a perfecct mix of me and Phillip...strong-willed and happy go lucky. haha. And you thought you couldn't be both.

Happy Mother's Day 2011

So thankful for my mother and the example she has been for me. To be a mom is to be a true servant and that is so beautiful. I love you Lord for giving me an amazing mother and I love you Mom for giving me the Lord. Both give me great joy. And to be a mommy is such a blessing. I love my son for the challenges he gives me and the pride he brings me. Happy Mother's Day! And thanks for the car, baby!

Destin Easter/Erika's Wedding Trip

What a wonderful trip! Headed down Tuesday evening. Got half way and stayed at a nice hotel. Headed off at a leisure time the next morning so Phillip could make it for golf with Pappy and Uncle Shane at noon. Weston and I headed straight for the pool. We ate at Kenny D's on Old 98, Poppy's at Baytowne Wharf, Louisiana Laignappe and the Sunquest dinner cruise for Erika's wedding reception. Erika's lingerie shower was a blast with a goddess theme and a dance party on the beach. The beach wedding was flawless with a gorgeous bride and handsome groom and the boat cruise reception was the cherry on top. 2 houses, 2 grandparents, 8 parents, 2 soon to be married and 11 grandbabies is a riot but I wouldn't have missed it for anything in the world. The tail end was a little sketchy with Shane and Amanda's car breaking down, having Caleb and Caden join Weston in the back of our Malibu for the last 250 miles, and then leaving my phone on the car as we pull out of their neighborhood and it breaks into a thousand pieces. Oh well. Those being the only setbacks, I say it was a trip for the books!

Weston had a great smile on his face during his one year old photo shoot. I guess he knew the cake was coming.

Weston's First Birthday!

I can't believe its been a year since this precious little gift was brought into the world. With all the blessings and memories we have had thus far, I can't imagine whats to come. I am so honored God has given me the opportunity to be a mother and trust me to be a guiding light to one of his children. I pray that each day me and Phillip can glorify Him through the man we will help Weston become. We only have a few years of influence so lets hope we make the best of it and have a sense of humor for all the draw backs we may endure. I love you Lord for giving me a glimpse of how deep your love is for us by giving me a son of my own. I'm in awe of how deep my love has grown in a matter of a year and amazed to think of how deep it will grow in a lifetime. You are MIGHTY! Oh how I love you so..my sweet Weston Joe! Happy birthday, baby.

We had a wonderful birthday party with family and friends. Thank you all for celebrating with us!

Winter is Coming to an End

We've almost made it through the cold weather. Its been kind of a rollercoaster ride being a mom with no car, and watching another baby in my home along with my son, as well as not being able to go outside cause its cold, but we've done okay. The spring sure does brighten my spirits though. I just love the warmth of the sun and the glow of all things new. Its like opening a Christmas present outside everyday. I can tell Weston loves being outside as well. He surely has blossumed over the past 2 months: crawling, eating big boy food with mom and dad, sitting up in his crib talking til I come get him, drinking out of a sippy cup and he has 8 teeth with 2 on the way. He's definitely Mr. Vocal. If he's not happy or something bothers him, he lets you know it. That could be the worst of the Sensings and the Pharrs. Makes me a little nervous when it comes to raising a strongwilled child but hopefully I can focus his strength and energy on positive things. Thank goodness God has filled my and Phillip's lives with support and wonderful examples. Without our families, church and blood, this journey sure would be much harder. But a wonderful journey it is and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
