Weston's 1 Month Photo Shoot

Just picked up his 1 month picture today. This may look like a happy boy but he was fussing the whole time. I guess four weeks is a little too soon to expect much out of an awake baby. Thats why most professional shots of babies are taken while they're sleeping. I did get this one smile out of him. He's looking right at me. So cute. Maybe next time I can get him to look at the camera.

Visit with the Sensing Clan

Weston got to meet his Mimi, Papa, Great Granddad and great Grandma this weekend. So much fun. Mimi and Papa took us out to Uncle Bud's for an awesome catfish dinner and Menchie's yogurt. Delicious! Everyone decided Weston looks like Phillip and after looking at old photo albums at the farm, I'm convinced as well. We enjoyed sitting around and talking with each other while Weston slept. I guess our stories put him to sleep. He's going to have to get used to it if he wants to be a part of this family. I know I did.

Weston is 1 Month!

Today we celebrate Weston's first month of life. He is such a good baby and we are so proud of him. He's getting stronger everyday. He can't quite hold his head up yet but he's real close. He turns his head when he hears mommy and daddy's voice enter the room and sleeps at least 3 hours at a time through the night. We love him so much and love watching him grow a little more each day.

My First Mother's Day

What a special gift God has given me to be a mother. I know how much I adore and appreciate my own mother and I can only hope Weston will feel the same towards me someday. She has given me love unconditionally, encouragement that I am capable to achieve anything and the knowledge that this life is fleeting and the one thing that truly matters is obeying the good and perfect will of God. I love her tremendously and so thankful for her example. I am excited to begin this journey of motherhood and comforted knowing I have been given the tools to be good at it and will have so much support around me to keep going when I fall short. Weston, in just a short amount of time, is already my pride and joy and I am loving every minute of it.

Zach's Graduation

What a wonderful thing to see my little brother graduate college. I am so proud of him. He is an amazing Christian man and has so much to look forward to in life. He's about to embark on Med school and I know he will do awesome. I love you, Zach!

Sweet Moments

I love it when my sister, Tara, my two precious nieces, Paisley and Kamry, and my very entertaining nephew, Xander, come to visit me and Weston. I know there a lot of giggles to come between the four of them. I've really enjoyed having them live so close. I caught another cute moment with one of my dogs. I think Tag can tell he's a boy. He definitely likes to be close to him. Weston loves the bath. I can tell it completely relaxes him just like mommy.

3 weeks and growing...

My baby boy is growing so quickly. 3 weeks as of yesterday. I wonder how much weight he gained this week. I'm still having restless nights but I know those will soon come to an end so I'm pushing through with a smile on my face. Besides he's too cute and too sweet to get upset at for making me lose a little sleep. He's beginning to like his swing but he's still so small to sit very comfortably in it so he's not happy for long. He fell asleep in my hand watching American Idol. I think he liked the singing and bright lights. As for the precious moment I captured with Sammie (in which my mother thinks I'm crazy for doing), I was right there with him and would never let any harm come to him. They were both out of it so I couldnt help but put them together in a photo.
